Ingredients
Oil for cooking
1 Large onion, chopped
500g Minced Beef
1 sachet Discovery Chilli Con Carne Seasoning mix
1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
1 x tin of cooked red kidney beans, drained and washed
To serve: rice, warmed Discovery tortillas or Discovery Taco Trays.
Method
1. Heat a little oil.
2. Fry onion until browned.
3. Add minced beef and fry until sealed.
4. Add the seasoning mix and stir well.
5. Add chopped tomatoes and 200ml of water.
6. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until meat is cooked and liquid evaporated.
7. Add drained red kidney beans.
8. Simmer for a further 5 minutes.
9. Serve with rice, warmed Discovery tortillas or Discovery Taco Trays.
