Quesadillas - Chorizo and Mozzarella

  • Oil for greasing pan
  • 1 pack Discovery Flour Tortillas 200g
  • Mozarella cheese, grated
  • 1 x 70g pack chorizo slices
  • 4 tablespoons of Discovery Salsa

 

Lightly grease a frying pan and put on hob to heat up. When hot, place a Flour Tortilla in the pan, top with a quarter of the mozzarella cheese, one tablespoon of Mexican sauce and chorizo slices and lay another Tortilla on top. Cook on both sides until browned and the cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Cut quesadillas into wedges and serve immediately.

Quesadillas are the favourite street snacks of Mexico and one of those "must haves" whenever we cook at Discovery. Put simply a quesadilla is a "hot tortilla sandwich" but if you start with some of our favourite fillings or create some of your own, you will realise that they can be much more than that.
