Crush Discovery Tortilla Chips or Taco Trays and use instead of breadcrumbs as a topping for vegetable or pasta bakes.

Tacos can be enjoyed crunchy (with a shell) or soft (with a flour tortilla).   A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheese, allowing for great versatility.  Whether crunchy or soft, tacos are easy to prepare and wonderful to share with family and friends.

Ingredients
  • 500g minced beef (or chicken) 
  • 1 Sachet of Discovery Taco Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 pack of Discovery Taco Trays
  • To garnish: grated cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, Discovery Salsa. 
  • Options: Discovery Refried Beans  Discovery Soured Cream

Method

  1. Heat oil and brown beef in a frying pan.
  2. Add Taco Seasoning and 200ml water.
  3. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C/Gas Mark 4.
  5. Remove TacoTrays from packaging.
  6. Place on a baking tray and heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Divide the filling between the Taco Trays.
  8. Add grated cheese and lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions and salsa.

If desired, garnish with Discovery Refried Beans and Discovery Soured Cream.
