A delicious accompaniment to Fajita Fillet Steak that cooks away happily in the oven, minimising any last minute cooking and leaving you to get yourself ready for romance.

Ingredients
  • Oil for greasing dish
  • 1 kg red potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 jar Discovery Creole Season & Sauce
  • 284ml double cream
  • 50g Emmenthal cheese, grated

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°c.
  2. Lightly grease a 1.5 litre gratin dish. 
  3. Layer the potatoes in the dish with the onion and seasoning from the cap. 
  4. Mix the Creole Sauce and cream together, pour over the potatoes and onions and sprinkle with cheese.
  5. Cover with foil and cook in the preheated oven for 1½ hours.
  6. Remove the foil and pop back in the oven for a further 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and well browned.
