Chocolate and Apricot Tortilla Cake

Chef's tips

Cut Flour Tortillas into triangles. Fry until crisp. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and serve with whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Ingredients

  • 8 Discovery Plain Flour Tortillas
  • 1 jar hazelnut chocolate spread
  • 390g jar apricot fruit filling
  • 500g fresh custard
  • 284ml double cream, whipped
  • 25g flaked almonds, browned


Method

  1. Cover 7 of the 8 Tortillas with chocolate spread.
  2. Spread each Tortilla with a thin layer of apricot filling and custard - continuing the layers until you top with the last plain Tortilla.
  3. Cover the top with the whipped cream and chill well.
  4. Sprinkle with browned almonds and serve immediately, cut into wedges. Utterly delicious!
