Cinnamon Tortilla Chips with Creamy Maple Pecan Dip

Sweet, warm, cinnamony homemade Tortilla chips, scooping up rich, nutty, creamy, maple dip. Put the kids to bed, close the door, don't answer the phone. Indulge.

Ingredients

  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 Discovery Plain Flour Tortillas, each cut into 8 triangles
  • oil for shallow frying
  • 250g mascarpone cheese
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 25g pecan nuts, toasted and chopped

To serve:

  • fresh fruit


Method

  1. Mix together sugar and cinnamon and spread over a large plate.
  2. Heat oil and quickly fry Tortillas until golden.
  3. Lift out of oil with a draining spoon and place in the sugar.
  4. Toss together well whilst still hot.
  5. Leave to cool.
  6. Mix mascarpone, maple syrup and pecan nuts and transfer to a serving bowl.
  7. Place on a large serving plate and serve surrounded by cinnamon chips and fresh fruit.
