A delicious accompaniment to Fajita Fillet Steak that cooks away happily in the oven, minimising any last minute cooking and leaving you to get ready for romance.
- oil for greasing dish
- 1 kg red potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 jar Discovery Creole Season & Sauce
- 284ml double cream
- 50g Emmenthal cheese, grated
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
- Lightly grease a 1.5 litre gratin dish.
- Layer the potatoes in the dish with the onion and seasoning from the cap.
- Mix the Creole Sauce and cream together, pour over the potatoes and onions and sprinkle with cheese.
- Cover with foil and cook in the preheated oven for 1½ hours.
- Remove the foil and pop back in the oven for a further 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and well browned.
