Love braised red cabbage, but want a different take on the dish? A jar of Creole Sauce does all the hard work, and all you have to do is figure out what to say when you're asked for the secret recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 red cabbage, finely sliced
  • 2 green apples, peeled and chopped
  • 100ml red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 jar Discovery Creole Season & Sauce

Method
  1. Place all ingredients in a pan and add 1 jar of water.
  2. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer very gently for about 1 ½ hours or until very tender and soft, adding a little extra water if necessary.
  3. Remove lid and reduce liquid.
  4. Check seasoning and serve.
