Chef's tips

Crush Discovery Tortilla Chips or Taco Trays and use instead of breadcrumbs as a topping for vegetable or pasta bakes.

Tacos can be enjoyed crunchy (with a Shell) or soft (with a Flour Tortilla). A taco can be made with a variety of fillings, including beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheese, allowing great versatility. Whether crunchy or soft, Tacos are easy to prepare and wonderful to share with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 500g minced beef (or chicken)
  • 1 sachet Discovery Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 14 Discovery Taco Trays

To garnish:

  • grated cheese
  • lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • spring onions
  • Discovery Salsa

Optional:

  • Discovery Refried Beans
  • Discovery Soured Cream


Method

  1. Heat oil and brown beef in a frying pan.
  2. Add Taco Seasoning and 200ml water.
  3. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
  5. Remove TacoTrays from packaging.
  6. Place on a baking tray and heat for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Divide the filling between the Taco Trays.
  8. Add grated cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions and Salsa

If desired, garnish with Discovery Refried Beans and Discovery Soured Cream.
