Shepherds Pie Mexican Style

You just have to try this for a gorgeous Mexican kick to a home-grown English staple, we love it.

  • 450g minced beef
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 jar of Discovery 2-Step Season & Sauce Chilli con Carne
  • 1 small tin of kidney beans
  • 675g mashed potatoes
  • 50g grated cheddar
  • 50g Discovery tortilla chips crushed.

1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6.
2. Brown the mince and onions Drain excess liquid. Add the drained tin of kidney beans.
3. Stir in the jar of Discovery 2-Step Season & Sauce Chilli con Carne. Bring to the boil, stirring. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.
4. Transfer to an ovenproof dish and cover with the potato.Sprinkle the cheese and tortilla chips over the potato. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until cooked.
